Editorial Standards
Gutter Installation Cost publishes a calculator and a set of buying guides for homeowners planning gutter work. This page explains where the numbers come from, who writes and checks them, and what happens when something needs fixing.
Where the pricing data comes from
Cost ranges come from contractor rate surveys, published material cost databases for aluminum, vinyl, steel, and copper, and regional labor rate research. We cross-check figures against at least two sources before they go on the site, and we lean toward ranges rather than single numbers because actual bids vary by roofline, region, and contractor overhead.
Who writes and who reviews
Jessica Martinez researches and writes the calculator copy, FAQs, and guides on this site. Chris Terry owns the site and sets editorial policy but does not write or appear as a byline on the pricing content.
How often guides get updated
Material and labor pricing shifts throughout the year, so guides carry a visible last-updated date and get revisited when the underlying data moves enough to change a published range. We don't backdate updates or claim a refresh that didn't happen.

Advertising and affiliate disclosure
This site runs Google-served display ads and includes links that connect readers with contractor-matching services. If a reader uses one of those links and it results in a job, we may earn a referral fee. That relationship never determines which numbers we publish or how we rank options in a guide.
